The muzzle is threaded for attaching muzzle devices such as brakes, flash hiders, and suppressors, making for an extremely quiet platform.

The New Citadel LEVTAC-92 Lever-Action Rifle Is a powerhouse
How does the Citadel LEVTAC-92 compare to other lever-action rifles? Does this new gun hold its own against the competition? It’s an impressive weapon with many features, including an American walnut stock and blued steel barrel with 20-inch barrel length.
But how does it stack up? We discuss that here in our full review of the Citadel LEVTAC-92 lever-action rifle. We’ll look at all its features as well as some of its pros and cons so you can determine if it’s the right gun for you or not.
Bullet Type
.357 Magnum, 12.5 Grains (mild load) or 15 Grains (Hot Load) factory load is recommended. FMJ (Full Metal Jacket) preferred for target shooting to prevent damage to rifling of rifle barrel by jacket material.
The .356 round nose bullet can be used for hunting and has acceptable accuracy out to 100 yards in lever guns with smooth barrels. For hunting, use only solid lead bullets weighing from 180 grs. to 250 grs., depending on caliber used as anything over that weight will cause dangerous pressure in these small framed rifles .
Never substitute a soft point or hollow point bullet in any of these weapons as they are not intended for such rounds. Soft points may break up causing possible injury to you and others around you if fired at close range. Hollow points have been known to expand upon firing due to gas leakage around case mouth.
Both types should never be used under any circumstances whatsoever! When reloading your own ammunition always start loads at least 10% below published starting loads found in loading manuals so as not to exceed maximum pressures listed in load data charts which are available from powder manufacturers,
gun magazines and various reloading supply houses like Hodgdon Powder Co., IMR Powder Co., Accurate Arms Co., etc. Do not exceed maximum loads even if you do find them listed elsewhere!
Frame Material
All components are machined steel. Uses one inch rails. Available with pistol grip and full stock or pistol grip only. Weight 4 pounds; length 32 inches. Chambered for .357 magnum cartridge with 16 1/2 inch barrel.
Sights include adjustable iron front sight, fiber optic rear sight and receiver mounted rail for scope mounting; magazine capacity 6 rounds; includes recoil pad, cleaning kit and owner’s manual (English) in hard plastic case.

Firing mechanism
The Citadel LEVTAC-92 uses a four-way firing system. Pulling on either trigger half way fires one shot, while pulling it all the way fires two shots. When both triggers are pulled simultaneously, they fire both barrels of ammunition at once.
There is also an option to switch from double barrel shooting to single barrel shooting by sliding a lever located under each trigger.
The first bullet will shoot out of whichever barrel has been chosen for single shot mode, and then it will automatically switch back to double fire mode if needed.
This can save ammo when hunting animals like deer or boar that often charge in headfirst, with no time for reloading before they are upon you. It’s also very useful in self defense situations where you need to be able to switch between killing your attacker and putting them down without killing them.
However, switching between modes takes some practice so be sure to take some time at home practicing how quickly you can change modes when your life depends on it. And don’t forget about safety!

Citadel LEVTAC 92 .357 Mag Lever-Action Rifle – 16.5 inches of unadulterated American badassery
One of the most iconic American-made lever-action rifles to ever be produced, Citadel’s LEVTAC 92 .357 Mag rifles are certainly one of the most unadulterated pieces of badassery ever crafted by human hands. When it comes to pure power and raw beauty, you really can’t get much better than this sweet little number right here.
Range Report
The Citadel LEVTAC 92 is a great rifle, with just one real con that I’ve been able to find: its price. Not that it’s outrageously overpriced; it certainly isn’t, considering what you get for your money.
But for a rifle costing less than $400, it may be too much for some to swallow when there are other rifles in that price range (or below) that offer similar quality at lower prices.
It’s hard to argue with how good Citadel makes their products though, so if you can afford it and want something well made from reputable companies like Leupold and Magpul then take a look at what Citadel has to offer; you won’t be disappointed!
The Citadel LEVTAC 92 is truly an American piece of hardware, which is why they named it after New York City’s infamous subway system—not because its magazine capacity happens to be thirty-two rounds.
What makes these rifles American? Well, they are manufactured by highly skilled gunsmiths in Texas using top-quality parts from US manufacturers like Timney Triggers and Shilen barrels.
All Citadel rifles have a unique twist on them: their bores have three grooves instead of two—something we don’t see very often here in America. Because each groove is deeper than those found on traditional firearms, muzzle velocity increases by approximately twenty percent as compared to guns with standard rifling.
Accuracy Test
Like most modern lever-action rifles, Citadel’s new Levetac 92 is chambered in .357 Magnum, a caliber that offers excellent accuracy across a wide range of bullet weights.
The rifle featured here is my personal favorite: Ruger’s superbly accurate Model 77 Mk II, which runs a bit less than $600 and can be purchased at just about any gun store worth its salt.
It comes with an adjustable tang sight and an H-S Precision Proprietary scope rail…which means it requires rings to mount a scope or other optics (I used Eagle Optics Talon 22x50mm side mounts). So how did it do? Very well, thank you.
I shot five 5-shot groups from 100 yards using three different loads: Hornady Critical Defense 125 grain FTX rounds, Federal Premium 125 grain Hi-Shok JHP rounds and Winchester USA 180 grain FMJ rounds.
All three loads averaged around 1 MOA—though some would argue 1 MOA isn’t all that impressive for a bolt action rifle shooting off sandbags from 100 yards away.
But remember: we’re talking about a lever action rifle with iron sights here—not even open sights! If you can shoot 1 MOA or better with iron sights from 100 yards out of your Citadel Levetac 92 .357 Mag Lever Action Rifle , then you’ve got yourself one helluva shooter on your hands!

How to choose between bolt actions and levers
When it comes to choosing between types of lever action rifles, it really comes down to personal preference. Some people prefer the look and feel of a bolt action rifle, while others find that a lever action is easier to operate. Here are some things to keep in mind when making your decision:
-Bolt actions tend to be more accurate than levers, since there is less movement involved in cocking the gun.
-Lever actions are typically faster to fire, since you can cock the gun while keeping your finger on the trigger.
-Bolt actions usually have a higher capacity, meaning you can load more rounds into the chamber.
-Lever guns are often considered more stylish than bolt action rifles. In addition, they’re much cheaper and available in a wider variety of calibers and lengths. If you’re looking for something affordable that won’t break the bank, then this may be the better option for you.
-If speed is what matters most to you, then go with a lever action rifle because it’s quicker to reload rounds into the chamber.
-Bolt actions tend to be lighter weight due to their construction style. In addition, they don’t require as much maintenance or cleaning as lever guns do which can make them more attractive if time is limited or resources are scarce.
Why you should learn about safety features
Before you purchase a lever action rifle, it’s important to learn about the different types of rifles and their safety features. Lever action rifles are popular because they’re easy to use and relatively affordable.
But, like any firearm, they can be dangerous if not used properly. Here are some things to keep in mind when considering a lever action rifle purchase:
-There are three main types of lever action rifles: pump, semi-automatic, and bolt-action.
-Pump action rifles are the most common type of lever action rifle. They’re easy to use and have a variety of safety features, including a trigger lock and magazine disconnect.
-Semi-automatic rifles are also popular, but they require more maintenance than pump action rifles. -Bolt-action rifles are the most expensive type of lever action rifle. They do not have a safety feature that locks back the bolt automatically, so make sure to manually push back on the bolt after every shot.
Lever action rifles come with an assortment of accessories, such as gun sights and scopes. The most popular sights are open sights, which consist of just two pieces that screw onto your barrel.
A scope is another option for improving accuracy and range. Scopes come with varying degrees of magnification; typically 3x or 4x magnification is best for hunting small game at close ranges while 10x or higher magnification is better suited for hunting large game at long ranges or shooting targets from afar. And don’t forget to take care of your rifle!
Types of rounds used in these weapons
Lever action rifles typically use centerfire rounds, which are cartridges with the primer located in the center of the case head. This type of round is usually more powerful than rimfire rounds, making it a good choice for hunting large game.
Some popular centerfire rounds used in lever action rifles include the .30-30 Winchester, .35 Remington, and .444 Marlin. If you’re looking for something a little bigger, you might want to check out the .450 Marlin or the .45-70 Government.
The .450 Marlin can fire a 450 grain bullet at 1,750 feet per second and the .45-70 fires a 400 grain bullet at 2,150 feet per second. With these weapons, you’ll be able to hunt any big game on this continent and possibly some big game on others as well!
